Bill Milliken, founder of Communities In Schools
What do you believe about the potential of every child? If you believe, as we do, that every young person can and should reach their highest potential, and that a strong school-community relationship offers the critical support students (and teachers) need to perform their best, we are delighted to invite you to join us on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 for our FriendRaiser open house from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the beautiful Governor’s Row House, 811 Southwest Buchanan Street, Topeka, KS 66606.
Communities In Schools of Kansas, part of the nation’s leading organization dedicated to empowering students to stay in school and achieve in life, serves young people from the urban centers of Kansas City and Wichita to the rural towns of Lyons and Ulysses. During the 2009-2010 school year, more than 18,500 students at 86 schools in Kansas received Communities In Schools services.
Please join our board members, local affiliate representatives, and friends who share a genuine commitment to children and education. And because friends are so vital to our success, we also invite you to bring colleagues and friends who share our interest in Kansas kids. Please RSVP by emailing cis@ciskansas.org. We look forward to seeing you soon!
